Praying Together at Home

Sunday 5th April 2020 – Palm Sunday

We have designed these prayers to be used in the morning.
Rev Clive and the Ministry Team will be praying these words at 10.30am and you may wish to join
us in prayer at this time, even if we cannot be together in person. However, if that time doesn’t
work for you, pick a different time: the important thing is committing ourselves to spend time with
God in prayer.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, during Lent we have been preparing by works
of love and self-sacrifice for the celebration of our Lord’s death and resurrection.
Today we come together to begin this solemn celebration in union with the
Church throughout the world. Christ enters his own city to complete his work as
our Saviour, to suffer, to die, and to rise again. Let us go with him in faith and
love, so that, united with him in his sufferings, we may share his risen life...

Prayers about the outbreak

Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
