Safeguarding

Our Commitment

We take seriously the safety and wellbeing of all volunteers, employees, guests and visitors to the church. Our policies express our commitment to this and our task in reflecting the promise of life that Jesus offered in his ministry. Each policy is reviewed annually by the Parochial Church Council.

The care and protection of children, young people and adults involved in Church activities is the responsibility of everyone who participates in the life of the Church.

Safeguarding manual

Freeva offer a wide range of support services to suit different unique circumstances and situations. Whether you’re in an abusive relationship and need support, wondering how to support a loved one experiencing abuse, or hoping to change your behaviour and build healthier relationships with someone close to you, you’re in the right place.

Safe Spaces is a free and independent support service, providing a confidential, personal, and safe space for anyone who has been abused by someone in the Church or as a result of their relationship with the Church of England, the Catholic Church in England and Wales or the Church in Wales.

Who to talk to

If you are concerned that someone you know is at risk of, or is being abused, or presents a risk to others, please seek advice from a Safeguarding Adviser or if necessary report the matter to the Local Authority Social Care Services or the Police without delay.

We pay particular attention to the care of vulnerable adults and children. If for any reason you have cause for concern over the care and welcome we are providing, please do not hesitate to contact the following:
